Meet Judi

Judie Byrd has spent over 30 years helping people discover that cooking doesn’t have to be complicated-it can be simple, joyful, and deeply rewarding. What started in her own home kitchen, teaching moms how to cook, grew into something much bigger: a lifelong mission to make cooking accessible for everyone.

Her journey of teaching home and recreational cooks led to teaching professionals with the co-founding (along with her husband Bill) of The Culinary School of Fort Worth, where students can earn a nationally-certified culinary certificate while balancing their everyday lives. She trained at The Culinary Institute of America in New York, and in London at Le Cordon Bleu, as well as in Europe and Asia. This rich experience brings depth to her passion for cooking, yet her focus has always remained the same: making cooking simple and approachable for everyday life. Most likely, Judie is at this moment either cooking or thinking about cooking.
